Halfway down the hall you heard footsteps behind you and turned around to see.....

…..Japan......

Once he realized you saw him, he began to stutter in Japanese.

"What is it Kiku," you asked, trying not to be annoyed at him along with the rest of the world. After all, he just minded his own business, he had never bothered you.

He stammered some more before managing to get out some understandable words in English.

He finally said "Oh, um, hello, (y/n)...I-I- heard your outbreak...and um, um, um, I- uh, just w-wanted to make sure you-you were o-okay...."

'He's so cute and shy!' you thought to your self. 'If only he would love me like I love him....'

Truth be told, you had fallen in love with him over the years from watching from afar...

You had to correct your thoughts.

You said to your self 'Don't be ridiculous (y/n) someone as shy and as cool as him would never notice a freak like you! Don't be silly!'

You just blushed and said "Thank you Kiku, I'm fine....."

"No you're not!" he protested.

You were surprised at his sudden change in attitude. You were rather shocked, actually!

"You're right, I'm not fine, but you shouldn't be concerned about it. I can take care of my self." You said, with a hint of an attitude. Really, all you were hiding were your emotions, though you'd love to cry to someone..... you had to have a hard shell. You had built one up over the years...but wished you  hadn't had to.....

Japan said "(y/n) I want you to be happy.... I don't want to see you sad....You see, when you're sad and upset, it makes me sad...." he trailed off.

You were ready to cry.

"WHY DO YOU CARE ABOUT A FREAK LIKE ME? DON'T YOU JUST WANT TO PICK ON ME LIKE THE REST OF TE WORLD?!!?!?!?!?!?!?"

You broke down and collapsed to the floor and began sobbing hysterically. You just couldn't take it anymore and began clawing at your arms, trying to make yourself bleed, trying to hurt yourself....

Japan was shocked at the sight of this.

"(Y/N)! STOP IT! STOP THAT RIGHT NOW!!!!!!" he shouted at you.

You did stop, but only long enough to glare at him,and then continued, harder this time.

He grabbed your cut wrists and yanked you form you crumbled position on the ground.

"Enough is enough!" He yelled. Then his voice dropped to barley a whisper "Just stop," he said, and he looked deeply into your (e/c) eyes and smiled. Then he pushed you (h/c) hair from your face and cooed in you ear "I don't want to see you like this. I said that when you're sad I'm sad. I didn't just make it up. Everything has a reason behind it, and my reason is th-that......that....that...that I-I-I  l-love y-you...."

You gasped. Could it be? Was he fooling you, or being serious? You looked into his eyes for the answer. You saw something and were quite happy with what you saw.

He wasn't lying at all.

A huge grin spread across your tear-streaked face.

"I-I love you too, Japan." you said, sniffling.

He pulled you in and kissed you gently. It was so sweet and his lips tasted like rice and sake.

He broke the kiss and held you tight for what felt like forever.
